Crestmoor Training was founded in 2014 on the back of the success of Crestmoor Construction. Today Crestmoor Training sits within the Group of Companies alongside the construction and design, and Plant Hire in which have been formed since 2001 and 2012.
Training quickly became a part of Crestmoor as the numbers started to grow and a need was established to develop a training arm to the business. Along with supplying a wealth of courses to internally train our staff to awarding body standards, we train externally providing a number of accredited courses and in house qualifications at our scenic high class training venue, alternatively if requirements are met we can train at your site.
Lily Manages the Training department, which includes roles from finance to the staff training matrix. During the time of setting up the business she has completed a wide range of qualifications, gaining more experience within the industry as time has progressed on. Lily has achieved her Level 3 Assessors award (A1), Level 3 and Level 4 in Education and Training and her Level 4 Lead Internal Quality Assurers Qualification (IQA) as well as a long list of industry qualifications. In her spare time Lily enjoys attending Music Festivals.
Mark started his career off in the Waste Management industry, first of all in his parent’s company right through to supervising a local depot at Viridor. He also has over 25 year's experience in the transport industry and has had a passion to teach right from his early days, sitting many different courses and completing a variation of workplace assessment courses. He holds his Level 3 Award in Eduction & Training, Level 3 Assessors (A1) and CPC Managers Qualification. Mark is vastly experienced with workplace machines such as forklifts and abrasives wheels. Mark enjoys working within his local community as Planning Officer within Wincanton Town Council – this includes working within the C.A.T.C.H team.
Martin started out as a keen chef before joining Crestmoor in early 2001. He has held many positions in the construction industry and has now taken up the new post of Training Instructor in within Crestmoor Training. Martin has completed a stack of qualifications over the years and has a broad range of experience in the Construction Industry. Martin holds his Level 3 Assessors Award (A1), and is currently working towards both his Level 3 Award in Eduction and Training and Level 3 Internal Quality Assurance qualification. Martin enjoys family life, football and playing skittles with friends.
Hannah has spent 15 years in various Sales, Marketing and Customer Service rolls throughout her career. Hannah has also obtained an NVQ in Customer Service along with many other practical skills. As the Area Sales Representative for Crestmoor Training her aim is to successfully market the company into the future as she always says ‘Train with us for a safer tomorrow’.
Mike joined Crestmoor at the spritely age of 16 as an apprentice. He has worked his way through the Company to become the Planning Supervisor with an abundance of construction experience and qualifications under his belt. He completed his HNC in Civil Engineering and looks forward to a Quality Surveyors course in the coming year. Mike holds the Level 3 Award in Education & Training and Level 3 assessors (A1).Mike is a keen cricketer and enjoys watching the Formula 1.
Peter is the Internal Quality Assurer (IQA) for Crestmoor’s training operation. He is a chartered civil engineer and has the elite status of being a Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE). Peter has specialized in structural/bridge engineering in both the private and public sector for 30 years and was Somerset’s chief bridges/structures engineer for nearly half of that time. Peter was responsible for Civil Engineering training in WS Atkins (Somerset) and for Somerset County Council. He has also been chairman of a variety of national groups including the National Highways & Transport Network and the National Highways Design Benchmarking Club. Peter set up ICE Taunton in 2007 and was also chairman of the ICE in the South West for its 2011/12 session looking after the interests of over 6,000 professionally qualified engineers in the region.
Paul has had a number of years’ experience within the construction industry, first of all working for British Gas, in the early year of his career. He now delivers a wide range of courses at our centre the main course being Streetworks for both Operatives and Supervisors. Paul holds all sorts of industry related qualifications including his Level 3 Award in Education & Training, Level 3 Assessors (A1) and Level 4 Internal Quality Assurance (V1). Paul enjoys reading and spending quality time with his friends and family.
