Morning Session (times typically from 08.30am till 12.30pm)

This qualification is designed for learners working in, or aspiring to work in, the construction industry. It will give learners the knowledge to undertake their jobs safely. This qualification covers common hazards and risks in a construction environment, safe manual handling practices, working safely at height and working safely around plant and machinery. It also covers the importance of effective teamwork and communication in ensuring safe working practices are followed in the construction industry.


At the end of the course you will know:

Afternoon Session (times typically from 13.00pm till 17.00pm)

The Manual Handling Operations Regulations do not set any weight limits for lifting and carrying loads and amendments in 2002 now require employees to have adequate or appropriate knowledge or training in order to make assessments to judge whether safe moving is possible. The regulations apply to almost all work environments from offices to care homes and factories. There are different risks associated with different sectors and this regulated qualification offers learning outcomes which are suitable for all.
