Course Details

This qualification is designed for learners working or looking to work in the construction industry. It gives them the knowledge to undertake their job safely.

Successful candidates who complete their CITB Operatives Health, Safety and Environmental Test will then be eligible to apply for a CSCS Labourers Card (Green Card).

Course Content:

  • Have a basic understanding of the industry, the dangers of working in the industry and the responsibilities of the Employer, Employee and Self-employed.
  • Have a basic understanding of Emergency procedures- First aid and Fire, Health Risks and welfare. Work at height, P.P.E.
  • Have a basic understanding of Hazardous substances and environmental waste protection and control, manual handling, electrical safety, hand tools and equipment.
  • The effects that noise, vibration and site transport have on individuals and the environment.
  • Have a basic understanding of Excavations, Inspections, transport safety.

1 Day Course Duration.

Assessment

Theory assessment is made up of multiple choice questions.

Accreditation

NPORS (Traditional) Operator Card - 5 Year Expiry.

We deliver this training at our Centre in Wincanton, but we can also come to your venue to deliver the course if you can meet the off-site training requirements.
