Course Details

Our Working at Height course provides essential training for anyone required to work at height as part of their role.

The course covers key responsibilities under current legislation, ensuring employees understand their legal duties and the importance of safe practices.

Participants will learn:

  • How to identify common hazards and the associated risks within the industry.
  • Learn effective methods for controlling these risks.
  • Relevant regulations such as LOLER (Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations) and PUWER (Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations), ensuring full compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Roles and Responsibilities.
  • Safe use of harness/fall arrest equipment.
  • Identification and functionality of harness/fall arrest equipment.
  • Conducting safety checks.
  • Equipment selection and correct usage.

Course Duration

This is a 1/2 day course.
We can take a maximum of 10 candidates per session.

Assessment

A theory paper made up of multiple-choice questions.

Accreditation

NPORS (Traditional) Operator Card - 5 Year Expiry.
OR
Crestmoor Training (in-house operator card & certification).

Things to know

We deliver this training at our Centre in Wincanton, but we can also come to your venue to deliver the course if you can meet the off-site training requirements.
